The ECHO remodel and addition is nearing completion. It all started in April with the demolition of the little house between ECHO and First Congregational Church to make way for the Social Services addition. Soon after, the foundations went in for the Social Services and Food Receiving/Storage additions. A rainy spring caused things to go a little slower than planned but when it wasn’t raining, workers were here doing their magic. Photos showing the remodel/addition from the beginning are at www.echojanesville.org. ECHO was closed for services about one and a half weeks during September in order to complete the inside remodeling of the Social Services and Community Room areas. The closure of services was necessary to ensure the safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff while the construction crew worked around the clock to minimize a longer closure or unsafe areas for our clients. ECHO would like to welcome the general public to come tour the building and see the new additions and remodeled areas on November 11 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. There will be tours, information about our services, and refreshments. As the holidays are approaching, please consider stopping by with a new toy for our Toy Distribution.
